Kathy C2024-10-23I had a wonderful experience with your company! Frank and Morris were on time, friendly, and professional.Eric D2024-10-22Had a great experience with bulldog movers. Danny and Carlos were both top tier and moved everything efficiently and with care. I will certainly use them again next time I have a moving need.Tiffany2024-10-17My movers were THE best ever. They showed up early for the move waited for me and helped me more than they were required because I was completely unorganized, unprepared and just all over the place to say the least. There were courteous, professional, patient and even dealt with a situation they did not have to and probably shouldn’t have. I can’t say enough how satisfied and how much off a happy customer I am. I will always return to Bulldog and pray I get the exact same movers each time. GOD bless those young men.bill rettig2024-10-09Update: Move 2 was over 50 miles and similar house sizes. The crew has expanded. Jonathon, Gerson, and Carlos kept the same excellent estimate and performance standards. I'm not sure if they are team 2 or the new team 1. I LOVE accurate estimates and careful transports! They WORKED the whole time. ------------------------------- The move was from a 4br to a 4br about 40 miles apart in NOVA. Property at origin had steep 1000ft driveway with narrow access. Both locations had challenging stairs. Accurate: The team came within 7% of their estimate. The front office conducted a comprehensive walk through and then the team made the effort to hit the estimate. Professional: From initial assessment to delivery, the team was focused on our move and came prepared to protect our things. They WORKED the entire time. The front office, and team communication was clear and truthful. Friendly: The gents were bright, cheerful, strong, and in good humor. The front office was courteous.Debra Kelley2024-10-04Awesome service very pleasedCourtney Holland2024-09-27I've used Bulldog Movers twice now. They are extremely kind, efficient, and flexible with the moving schedule. I had to move some items from my aunt and uncle's condo and with all of the restrictions, we easily hit 3 roadblocks. Bulldog Movers continued to move around the restrictions and found time on the schedule to get my items moved. Serena is great and the staff is top notch and extremely respectful. Definitely my go-to moving service for any needs I may have in the future.Jeffrey Baumgartel2024-09-26Prompt, courteous, efficient. We are so happy that this team of three very nice men helped us! Luca, Morrison and Gerson are energetic, careful, happy and very pleasant to work with! I highly recommend each of them and will be asking for them again in the near future!
ROCKVILLE IS A MARYLAND CITY NEAR WASHINGTON, D.C. RESTAURANTS AND SHOPS ARE CLUSTERED AROUND ROCKVILLE TOWN SQUARE, WITH ITS LAWN AND SEASONAL ICE-SKATING RINK.
Rockville was an excellent refuge for native Americans as early 8000 BC. By 1000 AD, some of these groups had settled down into year-round agricultural communities that exploited the rich flora including sunflower and marsh elder.
The Montgomery Indians lived in the area around present day city for centuries, but they were eventually pushed out by Europeans. Archaeologists have found six prehistorical sites and tens of thousands artifacts dating back to 2000 BC that are still being studied today.
The indigenous population carved a path on the high ground, known as Sinequa Trail which is now downtown Rockville. Years later Maryland Assembly set the standard for main roads to be 20 feet wide and designated that Great Road would need to follow these standards. In 18th century Lawrence Owen opened an inn at this location with more people arriving in town due to increased trade area along Rock Creek Main Road or what we know today as “Great” road.
The local Native American tribes cut down trees from hillsides using them like logs when they dragged them back through tunnels dug into creek beds so their passage was not detected by hostile neighbors who might want it all for themselves—the whole thing became known locally then nationally (and internationally) as “
Legend has it that General Braddock stopped at Owen’s Ordinary on his way to push British claims of the western frontier. The location near Rockville Pike is strategically located, making for year-round dry ground and a perfect stop over point!
