Annie Garrett2025-01-14 We've moved 9 times in the last 15 years and we remarked today that Bulldog Movers is the best moving company we've ever used. Fantastic service, careful packing, and professional friendly movers who I trust did not take anything from us (we've had a few things stolen from movers in the past). Love Bulldog Movers!! Sue Schuman2025-01-14 Frank and his assistant were very nice, professional and efficient. The move was extremely smooth and without any issues. I highly recommend BullDog movers. Trevor Skoglund2024-12-31 Fast, efficient and went above and beyond my expectations! Will use again! Mrs. Khan2024-12-23 Our first time moving with big boxes and furniture ever and we're so glad it was with Bulldog Movers. The whole process of getting a quote, scheduling a moving date, and actual moving was very professional. They were available for us to move on a weekend. They were meticulous and careful about the types of items we were moving and they wrapped everything carefully. They were careful with our fragile items. After moving they made sure the right furniture and boxes were in the right room and they asked us to make sure it was in the right place. The movers were friendly and pleasant and they moved fast. The entire loading, moving, and unloading took about 3 hours and they were done. I would highly recommend them for first time movers or any movers. I would definitely give them my business and my friends' and family members' business. Saunterer2024-12-21 Gerson and Luca were very meticulous and proud of their work. They had us loaded in a few hours and everything stayed secure in the U-Haul. I would recommend these guys to anyone moving. Fatu Kensonatu Kanu2024-12-18 Gerson and Luca were exceptional and made our moving a breeze. They were very careful with our furniture and went above and beyond to ensure that we are satisfied with the furniture arrangements. Joel Krause2024-12-09 Carlos, Luca and Johnathan are a moving power house! We had a great experience with Bulldog Movers! The guys were professional, hustled and in great spirits with two busy days. We would definitely use this company again. Jillian DaSilva2024-12-07 Packed and moved with care! Excellent service from my movers Gerson & Frank. Gerson was kind and conversational when packing; Frank was respectful and meticulous when labeling. They both worked so diligently to pack up one day and move the next. A leasing agent recommended this company to me, and they did a wonderful job. All my stuff was transported with care (nothing broke!). They wrapped and unwrapped all my furniture and even offered to place it in my preferred layout. They took my bed apart and put it back together seamlessly. My only criticism is we needed three movers (I told this to the woman who booked my move, but she insisted two was sufficient), so it took extra long with only two guys (ten hours for a 1BR move down the street). Otherwise outstanding job. Will definitely recommend them to others and use them in the future. Kathy Edwards2024-11-26 They were great. Quick, efficient and professional. My team came in and "completed the assignment " Thankyou for your services. I will recommend you to everyone!!!
ROCKVILLE IS A MARYLAND CITY NEAR WASHINGTON, D.C. RESTAURANTS AND SHOPS ARE CLUSTERED AROUND ROCKVILLE TOWN SQUARE, WITH ITS LAWN AND SEASONAL ICE-SKATING RINK.
Rockville was an excellent refuge for native Americans as early 8000 BC. By 1000 AD, some of these groups had settled down into year-round agricultural communities that exploited the rich flora including sunflower and marsh elder.
The Montgomery Indians lived in the area around present day city for centuries, but they were eventually pushed out by Europeans. Archaeologists have found six prehistorical sites and tens of thousands artifacts dating back to 2000 BC that are still being studied today.
The indigenous population carved a path on the high ground, known as Sinequa Trail which is now downtown Rockville. Years later Maryland Assembly set the standard for main roads to be 20 feet wide and designated that Great Road would need to follow these standards. In 18th century Lawrence Owen opened an inn at this location with more people arriving in town due to increased trade area along Rock Creek Main Road or what we know today as “Great” road.
The local Native American tribes cut down trees from hillsides using them like logs when they dragged them back through tunnels dug into creek beds so their passage was not detected by hostile neighbors who might want it all for themselves—the whole thing became known locally then nationally (and internationally) as “
Legend has it that General Braddock stopped at Owen’s Ordinary on his way to push British claims of the western frontier. The location near Rockville Pike is strategically located, making for year-round dry ground and a perfect stop over point!
